Dear dreamer, traveler and digital wanderer, you’ve finally arrived! You’ve just entered a happy virtual home where everything is about travels, dreams, love, minimalism, coffee, books and stories of course. I’m very glad you are here and welcome to my happy place!

I’m Sabrina Andrea Sachs – dreamer, rebel and storyteller.
That actually isn’t my real name, but it’s the name I use when I wear the clothes of the traveller, the writer, the photographer, the adventurer and in particular the storyteller. So… most of the time.

Nothing makes me happier than a blue sky, a new city or an amazing adventure.  I swim, skate, surf and run every day – all of this with kids’ enthusiasm and an old granny’s results. I drink 5 coffees a day, Friday means “pizza & beer”, but I also love Thai, Indian and Japanese food. I devour books in days and I’m an irrecoverable collector of bookmarks. I’m a wannabe creative digital nomad with a soul and a heart first and foremost.

I am a bit of a rebel who left the dream job to listen to her heart for once, or maybe forever. In fact, in 2015 I left an 8-year career in management consulting and project management to become a full-time freelance photographer, writer and social media strategist and I haven’t looked back since! 🙂

W A N D E R L U S T runs through my veins and W O R D S have been my best friend since I was very little. Born and bred in a small village near Venice in Italy, I moved to London two times before settling in permanently in 2011.

I have always been into P H O T O G R A P H Y. I remember looking and stealing my parents’ black and white family pictures of old relatives I never met. I used to cut adverts from my mum’s magazines even before I was able to read, all with her great despair!! Since I was little, I loved taking my disposable cameras with me everywhere. At that time, printing was still quite expensive, so photography was still only related to special occasions, like school trips or family holidays. I still remember the excitement of waiting for the film to be printed and see the (poor) results! I’ve bought my first DSLR in Tenerife, Canary Islands back in 2009 when I was on my first solo trip around Europe.  Since then, I’ve never stopped taking pictures. I’ve attended a few photography and editing courses including one at the Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, and I’ve bought a second-hand Olympus film camera that I mainly use for my street photography and portrait shots.

I’m here to share my S T O R I E S and the stories of the people I encounter; I want to tell you about my journey in leading a creative, freelancer and nomadic lifestyle. As you probably already guessed, this is not simply a travel blog like other millions out there. I’m not going to tell you how cool life on the road is, you know that already. I am not going to tell you “top 10/100/1000 things” you need to see or visit in a city or a country, or how many countries I’ve ticked off on my bucket list, there are so many lists alike out there already.

My intent is different: I hope to I N S P I R E you to travel more, to live, to do and ultimately be more by pushing your limits and giving a chance to your dreams and yourself.

I’m on a mission to convince you to make your life R E M A R K A B L E.
Basically, this is a slow lifestyle & travel blog (and memoir) that explores ways to simplify your life, cultivate your passions and spent more time doing what you really love.

Interviews and Publications

As you can see below, my work has been featured in The Guardian, TimeOut London, The Huffington Post, Mission, Il Sole 24 Ore, Passion Passport, Barclet Magazine and I’m currently on assignment for other major travel and food magazines & outlets. Most recently, I was invited for an interview at Radio Deejay, listen to it here.
Between 2015 and 2017, while I was on that side of the world, I’ve been one of Olympus Australia’s photographers and brand ambassadors.

If you want to get to know me better, you can have a peek here or here. If you wish to follow this blog, you can subscribe via email or via Bloglovin’ so you’ll never miss another update. And if you wish to work with me, you can click here to find out more about me and how I can help your brand gain the online attention it deserves.

@the_storyteller just wanted to say THANK YOU! I remembered seeing this post a few weeks back and when I arrived in Jaisalmer, we headed straight for The Gulaal – our stay at the hotel has been fantastic and the camel safari we booked through them was unbelievably memorable. Sleeping under a canopy of sta rts is impossible to describe and must only be witnessed first hand. Travel on and thank you again! xo[The Gulaal Campaign – Oct 2015] [Tripzuki Campaign December 2015]

Wow! What a success story. Really inspirational. People do think it’s all about luck and making it easy. This proves nothing is easy but at the same time, nothing is impossible. Congratulations and wish you all the success and happiness in life.

You are an inspiration to me. You inspire me to continue to be a better person. To smile. To enjoy life and every single moment. To hope for the good. To hope for the good in everyone. To love, to let love in. I want to dive into the ocean as far as it goes and unveil its secrets. I want to see the world. There are so many places to explore. How do I become like you? 3rd December 2015

You rock, @the_storyteller! Amazing work! Keep photographing! 🙂
